The COVID-19 era has changed the world to a different level, from home isolation to bio-secure bubble life, there have been a lot of changes everyone has witnessed. BCCI president Sourav Ganguly on Tuesday said that it is a tough challenge for all the players to remain restricted to a bio-secure environment.
Since the international cricket resumed in COVID times, the cricketers have had to limit themselves in bio-bubbles according to which, they are restricted to hotels and stadiums, and are not allowed to go anywhere else. Players are not allowed to meet people outside the bio-secure environment, making it difficult for them to stay enthusiastic and fresh.

Former Indian skipper Ganguly said that, “I feel we Indians are a bit more tolerant than overseas (cricketers). I’ve played with a lot of Englishmen, Australians, West Indians, they just give up on mental health,” speaking at a virtual event.
In the past few months, there have been a lot of cricket matches and events going on with serious bio-bubble restrictions. BCCI president added that, “Just going from the hotel room to the ground, handle the pressure and come back to the room and then get back to the ground again, it’s an absolutely different life.”
The former skipper also gave an example about Australian team backing off from the series against South Africa after they lost a series at home against India. Australian team were going to play Test series against South Africa but citing the reasons of health and safety, they cancelled their tour.
