As he laid the foundation stone for the six-lane Ganga Expressway in Shahjahanpur in the poll-bound state, Prime Minister Narendra Modi enumerated five ways in which the new expressways, airports, and railway connections will help the people of Uttar Pradesh. 

“This network of expressways in UP, all these new airports and railway routes, together these will beneficial to the people in the following five ways,” Prime Minister Modi stated as he addressed the crowd.

The first benefit, according to Prime Minister Modi, is that commuters will save a lot of time. He was alluding to the fact that the Ganga Expressway will connect places like as Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh, and Prayagraj when it is completed.

The second benefit, he claims, is that it will make people’s journey much easier and more convenient. “The third boon is that this infrastructure represent utilisation of UP’s resources. The fourth and fifth benefits are that these show the rise in abilities of the state and the all-round prosperity achieved by it, respectively.”

PM Modi’s visit to Uttar Pradesh on Saturday to lay the foundation stone for the Ganga Expressway, which would cost roughly 36,200 crore to build, is the first of four in the next ten days. He will be in Prayagraj on December 21, where he will distribute certificates to 2.5 lakh women who have benefited from various government schemes.

Prime Minister Modi will visit Varanasi, his Lok Sabha seat, on December 23 to unveil a number of projects. Finally, on December 28, he will be in Kanpur to open the first phase of the city’s Metro project as well as attend IIT Kanpur’s annual convocation ceremony.
