Dalvin Cook is a running back who plays for the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League (NFL). The 25-year-old is currently ranked among the top five running backs in the league and will start the 2021-22 season as one of the most-wanted players in fantasy football.

Player Bio:

Born in Florida%u2019s Miami-Dade County on August 10, 1995, Cook attended Miami Central High School, the same as former Florida State Seminoles running back Devonta Freeman.

Cook did not start playing football till his sophomore year, when he started playing as a running back and a defensive back. He was also among his state%u2019s top sprinters. 

He attended the Florida State University where he played college football from 2014 to 2016. He was suspended in 2015 after being charged with battery for an incident outside a bar, but was found not guilty and was reinstated by his team next month. 

He averaged 6.5 Rushing and 11.8 Receiving yards over his three-year-career and had a total of 48 touchdowns.

Career highlights and records:

Cook was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the second round (41st overall) in the 2017 NFL Draft. He was the third running back picked in the draft, behind Leonard Fournette and Christian McCaffrey

He has played his entire career so far with the Vikings. Overall, he has accumulated 3,661 Rushing yards, at an average of 4.8 per game, 148 Receptions and 1,275 Receiving yards at an average of 8.6 per game. He has total of 36 combined touchdowns.

Among his personal accomplishments is two Pro Bowl appearances, in 2019 and 2020.

Cook has scored a total of 699.6 fantasy points over four seasons, averaging 15.5 points per game. His most prolific seasons came in 2020, scoring 293.8 points at an average of 21 points.
