A 68-year-old woman was praised by Tweeple after she was seen completing a steep trek up to the Harihar Fort in Nashik district of Maharashtra.

An undated video surfaced online in which the woman, dressed in a saree, can be seen climbing the steep steps of the fort. This is quite a challenge for the professionals, however, the woman made it look easier with a beautiful smile on her face.

The video was posted on Twitter by the deputy director of Maharashtra Information Centre, Dayanand Kamble. “If there is a will there’s a way….Look at this 70 year old mountaineer, salute to this mother,” he captioned the post.

The clip shows the woman reaching to the top of the fort. She was met with cheers, whistles and loud applause from onlookers, some of whom were filmed recording the incredible feat.

Until now, the video has garnered around 20,000 views.

Some social media users identified the woman as Asha Ambade and praised her for acing the tough trek.

“Hats off before her determination..Great,” a Twitter user commented on the post.

“She’s proved what everyone says.. ‘Age is just a number’,” wrote another.
