60th New York Film Festival (NYFF), to be held from 30 September to 16 October, 2022. A number of films that were screened at the Cannes Film Festival, like Stars at Noon by Claire Denis, Decision to Leave by Park Chan-wook and Aftersun by Charlotte Well are scheduled to be screened at the NYFF, 2022. Apart from these, Carla Simon’s Alcarras and Shaunak Sen’s All that Beatles are also going to be played here.

Celebrities who are about to set their foot for the first time in the NYFF main slate include Laura Citarella, Huang Ji, Alice Dip, Marie Kreutzer, Margaret Brown, Cyril Schaublin, Davy Chow, and Mark Jenkin. The filmmakers who are returning to the NYFF include Todd Field, Joanna Hogg, and Alberta Serra.
According to the schedule, Noah Baumbach’s White Nose will be inaugural to the festival and All the Beauty and the Bloodshed, a documentary by Laura Poitra, is to be the centrepiece film and the festival would conclude with the screening of Elegance Bratton’s narrative debut The Inspection. Armageddon Time by James Gray has been decided to be the NYFF 60th anniversary screening event. Updates on other events are to be announced soon.

In partnership with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Bronx Museum of the Arts, Maysles Documentary Centre and the Museum of the Moving Image, NYFF 60 would involve festival screenings in all the five boroughs of New York City. Each of the venues will screen a selected number of films throughout the festival. The full list of films and the schedule is yet to be announced
