Saw Gerrera, character in the Star Wars universe, was born in the final years of the Galactic Republic on the jungle planet Onderon. With his sister Steela Gerrera, Saw was raised inside the confines of Onderon’s capital city of Iziz as an Onderonian, and it was through this upbringing that he came to have a deep regard for the long-reigning King Ramsis Dendup.

Gerrera is affiliated with the Rebel Alliance and Onderon Rebels. He stands tall with a height of 1.87 m and has Blaster Rifle as his weapon. His is there in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Star Wars: The Bad Batch.

While studying under the Jedi, Saw Gerrera developed his own rebel leadership skills. He continued fighting the Empire after the Clone Wars, earning a reputation as a skilled fighter, but with time, his tactics grew increasingly severe. This was clear during one expedition on Geonosis in particular.

After hearing from the Ghost crew that everyone had left, Saw and his squad visited the desolate planet. There was one Geonosian left, though, and he took Saw’s men down one by one. Gerrera was committed to locating this “bug” and forcing him to discuss the Empire’s construction on Geonosis by whatever means necessary.

Saw Gerrera is the leader of a group of extreme Rebels. He is a damaged veteran of both the Clone Wars and the ongoing struggle against the Empire. Despite the many losses he has sustained over the years of battle, Saw occasionally shows signs of the charming and kind guy he once was.

Instead of supporting a greater cause, Saw is primarily concerned with the security and independence of his own people. He still finds himself in a sort of Jedi boot camp with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Ahsoka Tano after his faction asks the High Council for support. As soon as Steela is chosen to head the Onderon rebels, some sibling rivalry begins to surface. When they undertake their last, successful mission to undo Rash’s coup, she is slain, and Saw is left feeling guilty for her death.
