‘Fortnite‘ has cemented its place as one of the most popular battle royales, that has attracted and retained players over the seasons. The latest update sees a change in the map and rebalanced weapons, but the most exciting addition is that of Darth Vader, the Sith Lord from ‘Star Wars‘. 

If players plan to take on this in-game challenge, it is best to team up with at least one other player or approach as a squad, since some have to keep the Stormtroopers engaged, while the others take on Vader himself. Winning the boss fight will get players the Darth Vader lightsaber, which is one of the Star Wars weapons currently in the game. At least one such weapon is needed for a Vibin’ challenge in the season, and those with the battle pass can rely on Vader’s lightsaber to get the job done. 

Vader’s entry in Fortnite 

As soon as the game begins, the Imperial shuttle overtakes the Fortnite bus and lands on the map. There are some areas where Vader can be found, and this is marked out with a beacon. 

Players are advised to hold their horses, however, and approach only once they are geared up and in possession of adequate weapons as well as health items.

This is because the areas are heavily guarded by Vader and the Stormtroopers, and conflict is inevitable. 

Where to find Vader 

Darth Vader can be found on the Fortnite map up the mountain northwest of LogJam Lotus, or the mountain to the northeast. The Sith Lord can also sometimes appear near the road south of Coney Crossroads or the beach northeast of The Joneses, and even the forest south of Greasy Grove. 

How to defeat Darth Vader in Fortnite

To complete the Vibin’ challenge, players only need to pick up one of the Stormtroopers’ weapons and shoot at Vader, but one might decide to defeat him and grab the lightsaber. 

Some tips to remember is to not put too much distance between yourself and Vader since he has a leaping attack which can deal heavy damage.

The E-11 Blaster Rifle, which the Stormtroopers carry, and which happens to be the other Star Wars weapon in ‘Fortnite’, is another good way to take down Vader, since it has a rapid firing rate, and the Sith Lord eventually puts his guard down, taking damage. 

Once Vader is vanquished, the lightsaber can be used by players. Clicking on the right mouse button to aim, and then clicking on the left mouse button throws the lightsaber like a boomerang.
