Daniel Craig is back on the big screens, reprising his role as Detective Benoit Blanc in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, which is a sequel to the successful 2019 thriller Knives Out. In one of this year’s most anticipated films, Detective Blanc is all set to bring new mystery, mayhem and eccentricity, opposite tech billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton).
Daniel Craig is a talented actor, and it will be fascinating to see where the globe-trotting megastar will go with the upcoming stage of his diverse career — particularly as his glamorous days as 007 are now over. That being said, here’s what the former Bond actor has planned for the future, including Knives Out 3!
Knives Out 2
Knives Out became a big hit when it came out in 2019, giving Rian Johnson another chance to create a highly entertaining genre-bender while also granting Daniel Craig another opportunity to play up his star power with a Southern twang accent. The end result was a smashing success.
The A-list actor and the well-known writer-director will produce two more Knives Out sequels. According to Cinema blend, the duo has struck a massive deal with Netflix, with each collaborator reportedly receiving a $100 million paycheck.
Directed by Rian Johnson, the upcoming film also stars Janelle Monae, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, and Kate Hudson.
The teaser begins with cinematic shots that introduce us to the new characters, which range from a terrified Edward Norton to a buff David Bautista. Meanwhile, Benoit Blanc informs the cast that they were intending a mystery and a game, but this game is dangerous, about murder, and their lives are at stake. This is followed by shots of the luminary star cast being introduced as we get a better look at the premise- a group of people on an island participating in a murder mystery game until things take a dark turn and a real murder is committed.
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery will premiere on Netflix on December 23. And before that, it’ll have its global premiere on September 10 at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Knives Out 3
Daniel Craig will not only return for a sequel to Knives Out, but he will also reprise the role of the expert detective in another sequel, which will also be financially backed by Netflix.
It’s not surprising that the plot for the third Knives Out 3 is unknown, owing to the fact that we don’t know what happened in the second film. It’s ambiguous if these two sequels are linked or if they’ll solely feature Craig’s return (Knives Out 2 isn’t expected to connect to the original plot of its main private eye).
We don’t know if Knives Out 3 will be the final instalment in this newfound series, or if these sequels will herald in a long line of films based on Detective Benoit Blanc’s case-solving expertise. Even if Rian Johnson hands over the reins to another team of writers and directors, it’s not unreasonable to expect Daniel Craig to continue playing the role in future films. For the time being, we know he’ll make two more Knives Out films and indulge in romantic pursuits as well.

The Creed of Violence
We haven’t seen another film directed by Todd Field for several years. The director of In the Bedroom and Little Children hasn’t made a new film since the latter in 2006, and we’re overdue for a third feature from the underappreciated storyteller. With The Creed of Violence, a film adaptation of Boston Teran’s 2009 novel of the same name, we may finally get that long-awaited sequel.
The Creed of Violence would follow Daniel Craig as Rawbone, an assassin who travels from Texas to Mexico with a young federal agent to stop a smuggling ring in 1910 against the backdrop of the Mexican Revolution. With the material and talent involved, it certainly sounds like the type of dramatic project that would reintroduce the action star to his character-driven roots.
