Lil Nas X shut down critics as he performed in Boston, Massachusetts, on Sunday. The “Industry Baby” star sent out an impressive response to a group of homophobic protesters who had gathered outside of the MGM Music Hall at Fenway Park.

 “Just told my team to send them pizza, this is really good promo!” the Grammy winner wrote after reposting a video of the flock.

Following the message, the rapper posted another video of a member of his team dropping off the food to the group.

The protesters, however, turned down the offering.

In response, Lil Nas X jokingly tweeted saying that he fell in love with one of the conservative objectors.

“Update: they didn’t want the pizza but i accidentally fell in love with one of the homophobic protestors,” he wrote alongside a video of the interaction. In the edited clip set to the tune of Sufjan Stevens’ “Mystery Of Love,” the camera are on the protester who caught the star’s attention. The protestor was dressed in a T-shirt that read “Christ’s Forgiveness Ministries Revival.”

Replying to fans, Lil Nas X wrote, “I miss him already.” While another, entranced by one of the protester’s looks, commented, “Suddenly I agree with them.” Lil Nas X replied, “Yeah they kinda have a point.”

Lil Nas X is set to continue his Long Live Montero Tour until the finale show on Nov. 17 in Barcelona, Spain.

A similar approach had been taken, back in 2019, by pop star Kim Petras who posed for photos in front of a group of Westboro Baptist Church picketers upset with having the trans musician perform in the city.

“This is my official statement on wbc picketing my show in Kansas City tomorrow. this is the energy i’m bringing n it should be yours too,” she captioned a video at the time.

She then posted the photos of herself in front of the hateful group, and wrote, “update. hoes still mad.”
