Adam Levine has released a statement after accusations were levied against him of cheating on his wife by Sumner Stroh, an Instagram model. On his Instagram story, the Maroon 5 frontman said, “I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner. I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period in my life.”

This comes during a time when two more women have come out saying that the married singer had exchanged flirtatious messages with them. A comedian called Maryka and another woman called Alyson Rosef have made such claims.

In his statement, the 43-year-old admitted, “In certain instances it became inappropriate”, while also stating that he is trying to make amends by taking “proactive steps to remedy this with my family.”

Stroh had shared on TikTok the messages that were exchanged between her and the singer. She said, “Essentially, I was having an affair with a man who’s married to a Victoria’s Secret model”, in reference to Levine’s wife, Behati Prinsloo. The couple got married in 2014.

Despite Levine’s claims that he did not have an affair with Stroh, the model said in her TikTok video that she and the Girls Like You hitmaker had been seeing each other “for about a year”. She went on to show a number of messages, albeit sans dates, that she had exchanged with Levine.

In the video, the model blamed Levine saying that “My morals were unknowingly compromised. I was completely manipulated”. Stroh shared another video in which she said that while their alleged affair was going on, she thought that Levine and Prinsloo’s marriage had ended, and they were just “keeping it quiet to avoid the negative press”.

After Stroh made her messages with Levine public, a number of women have since come out and shared other allegedly flirtatious messages that Levine had sent them. On the other hand, the singer has said in his statement that what transpired between him and Stroh was the “the greatest mistake” he could have ever made.

He also wrote, “My wife and my family is all I care about in this world”, further adding, “I take full responsibility. We will get through it. And we will get through it together.”
