The stage is set for India to battle it out against England in the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup semi-final on 10 November at the Adelaide Oval. Earlier this evening, Pakistan won against the much more consistent New Zealand, defeating them by 7 wickets to make it to the finals.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma said that the Men in Blue are confident about defeating England since they overcame this challenge when they defeated England in the three-match T20I series 2-1 while they were touring England earlier this year in July.

“We know the nature of T20 cricket, but beating England in England is a challenge and we overcame that, and that is going to give us confidence,” Sharma said during a press conference.
Before the World Cup started this year, many fans did not believe that India would reach this far in the tournament, and were initially of the opinion that India would not secure a spot after the Super 12 stage in the World Cup. This was due to Virat Kohli’s poor performance in the recent past and Jasprit Bumrah’s absence due to injury.
But the team put forth a commendable performance and will now be facing England in the Group 2 semi-finals.
Many fans are hoping for India and Pakistan to play against each other in the final on November 13.
