India and England face off in the second semifinal, the ultimate knockout match of the 2022 T20 World Cup on Thursday. The winner will face Pakistan in the final match of the tournament at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on November 13, 2022.

Adelaide Oval weather and pitch report:

The sun has been visible in Adelaide for the past few days, and although the city saw a few brief rain spells on the night before the semifinal, the weather on game day is expected to be clear. Three separate fields have been utilised over the past week, and it is anticipated that this game will be played on the one that hosted the matches between Australia and Afghanistan and New Zealand and Ireland.

The difficulty in Adelaide is that the fielding sides have shorter square boundaries to guard than at the previous tournament locations.

This will be England’s first game at this location in this competition, whereas India has already played here (against Bangladesh).

With an average first innings total of 157, first-batting teams in the Super 12 have a 4-2 win-loss record in Adelaide, just ahead of Perth (125) and Hobart (117).
