Brock Purdy, the 49ers quarterback, put up a great show against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, legendary Tom Brady, failed to put up a show for his team as they lost 35-7 to Brady’s former team. After the game, the 22-year-old shook hands with the 45-year-old in a heartwarming moment for fans to witness.

“It was surreal just standing there like man that’s Tom Brady talking to guys and dapping guys up… For him to have respect for what I did today was pretty cool, not gonna lie,” Purdy said after that game.
“I just kept telling myself, dude this thing ain’t over with that guy on the other side of the field,” Purdy continued about how it felt with Brady on the other side of the pitch.
“I just wanted to keep putting on points on the board knowing very well how this dude had made some crazy comeback in his career. I just did not want that to happen in my first game. The whole time I was doing my thing, I kept looking at the scoreboard knowing the situation and stuff. Also respecting who’s on the other side. Didn’t want to give him a chance,” he added.

Brody started the game today after first-pick quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo got injured in week 14. As the Mr. Irrelevant for the 2022 season, there were not much expectations from the 22-year-old, but he proved everyone wrong by producing a performance to remember.
