The hit Hulu mystery series Only Murders in The Building’s season two finale titled I Know Who Did It saw Ant-Man actor Paul Rudd appearing in a cameo role. However, in a recent interview with Variety, Only Murders in The Building series co-creator John Hoffman revealed that the actor will also be cast in the show’s third season.
Regarding Rudd’s character, Hoffman stated in the interview, “Paul Rudd, after making an auspicious entrance into the world of our show at the end of Season 2 as Ben Glenroy, is someone we clearly want to know more about and see in our upcoming Season 3”. He further added, “He is a clear source of many upcoming questions and, as ever with our show, many twists yet to come!”

In the season 2 finale, the characters Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez) reach a state of normalcy after going through a number of twists and turns. But their peace is short-lived as the character Ben Glenroy (Rudd) dies onstage during a theatrical performance. Season 3 might deal with Ben Glenroy’s backstory and his mysterious death. However, neither Hulu nor the show’s creators have yet revealed whether Rudd will be a series regular or will be seen in an extended cameo.
The story of Only Murders in The Building revolves around the characters portrayed by Short, Martin, and Gomez, and their love for true crime stories. However, the stakes are raised when a person is murdered in their own apartment building.
