Marvel Studios announced two new Avengers titles for Phase 6 at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday. Kevin Fiege gave a glimpse into Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.

The Kang Dynasty will feature Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror, a villain who is a time-traveling menace. His strategic knowledge puts him in the perfect place to guide and manipulate timelines.

In the comics, Kang Dynasty was a 16-book story which started in June 2001 and ended in August 2022. Kurt Busiek wrote the comic with art from Alan Davis, Kieron Dwyer, Ivan Reis, Manuel Garcia, and more.

In Kang Dynasty, Kang travels from his home in the 30th century to the 21st century with his son Marcus. Together, they conquer the Earth until the Avengers assemble and stop them.

It is likely that the MCU will not do a straight adaptation of The Kang Dynasty. The MCU’s Kang the Conqueror, who first appeared in Season 1 of Disney+’s Loki series, is already very different from the comics. He’s been reinvented as the key player in a multiversal war, with different versions of Kang the Conqueror clashing.

Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teased that this conflict could potentially cause all the timelines to collide

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will release in theaters on May 2, 2025.

Feige also revealed Avengers: Secret Wars, the next major Marvel crossover movie and fifth Avengers movie. Avengers: Secret Wars will arrive in theaters on November 7, 2025.
