Selena Marie Gomez is set to host ‘The Concert to Reunite the World’, a special music event which will be aired on Sunday with the aim to inspire vaccine confidence worldwide.

Born on July 22, 1992, in Grand Prairie, Texas, Gomes started her acting career with ‘Barney & Friends’ in 2002 after which she made her big-screen debut in the family movie ‘Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over’(2003). In 2007, Gomez did the role of Alex Russo, the lead role on the Disney sitcom ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’. 

The show was an instant hit and was counted amongst the channel’s leading show ‘Hannah Montana’. She currently holds the record for the most Kids Choice Award wins (11).

Immediately following the show, Gomez featured in the animated film Hotel Transylvania alongside Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Adam Samberg. 

In 2013, she released her debut solo album ‘Stars Dance’ which sold over 97,000 copies within the first week of its launch and was ranked at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart. Since then the 28-year-old artist has worked with many singers namely, DJ Snake, Charlie Puth, ASAP Rocky and Cardi B.

Recently, the pop singer released her makeup line, ‘Rare Beauty’ in 2020 which has been a huge success.
