Gold prices remained steady on Monday as the strong US dollar weakened the attraction of the yellow metal. The bullion remained stuck close to a recent nine-month low.

Gold fell for the fourth week in a row on Friday, having touched its lowest level since late September a few sessions earlier, weighed down by the dollar’s rise and predictions of rapid interest rate rises gaining traction following strong US job statistics.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) decreased marginally on Monday, July 11, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 50,734.00 per 10 gm, down 45 points or 0.09%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 56,973.00 per kg, down 158 points or 0.28%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,739.81 per oz while Silver is priced at $19.16. Platinum was trading at $882.86 while palladium was trading at $2,108.75.

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 49,630 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 56,427 per kg on Friday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.  

Copper futures were trading at Rs 651.40 down 1.42% while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 505.40 and Rs 209.70 per Kg respectively on MCX.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 46,950 in Mumbai, New Delhi, and Kolkata. According to the Good Returns website, the same quantity of 22-carat gold is being traded-in Chennai for Rs 46,890.

The 24-carat gold prices, ten grams of the highly sought-after metal can be purchased for Rs 51,210 in New Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. In Chennai, the same quantity of 24-carat gold is being offered for Rs 51,150.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,100 and Rs 46,890 in Lucknow and Coimbatore, respectively. The same amount of 24-carat purity is being traded-in Lucknow for Rs 51,360 and in Coimbatore for Rs 51,150.

In Kerala and Hyderabad, ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 46,950, while in Bengaluru, the same quantity costs Rs 46,980. The same quantity of 22-carat gold is offered for Rs 46,950 in Vijayawada and Vishakhapatnam, and Rs 46,980 in Mysore.

Furthermore, ten grams of 24-carat gold is worth Rs 51,210 in Kerala, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, and Vishakhapatnam. The same quantity of 24-carat gold is available for Rs 51,250 in Bengaluru and Mysore.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,100 and Rs 47,000 in Chandigarh and Surat, respectively. The same quantity of 24-carat purity is priced at Rs 51,360 in Chandigarh and Rs 51,260 in Surat.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold can be purchased and sold in Pune and Madurai for Rs 46,970 and Rs 46,890, respectively. The same amount of 24-carat purity costs Rs 51,240 in Pune and Rs 51,150 in Madurai.
