Gold prices increased on Thursday, despite a rise in the US
dollar. A pullback in the US Treasury yields also added to the bullion’s
appeal. After a couple of strong economic reports this week, the focus now
shifts to US jobs data due on Friday that could offer more clarity on Fed’s
aggressive tightening
to fight soaring inflation.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) declined
on Thursday, August 4, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 51,911.00 per 10
gm, up 522 points or 1.02%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading
at Rs 58,027.00 per kg, down 473 points or 0.82%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,774.36 per oz
while silver was at $20.01. Platinum was trading at $907.92 while palladium was trading at $2,018.50.

In the spot market, 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 50,330 per
10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 57,309 per kg on Wednesday according to
the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 641.05, down by 0.17%
while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 658.30 and Rs 208.00
per kg respectively on MCX.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold is being purchased and sold at
Rs 47,140 in Mumbai and Kolkata, according to the Good Returns website. The
same amount of valuable yellow metal can be purchased for Rs 48,010 in Chennai
and Rs 47,290 in New Delhi.

The 24-carat gold price, ten grams of this in-demand metal
costs Rs 51,430 in Kolkata and Mumbai. The same quantity is being marketed at
Rs 52,380 in Chennai and Rs 51,590 in New Delhi.

In Pune and Jaipur, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being sold
at Rs 47,170 and Rs 47,290, respectively. The same amount of 24-carat purity is
being traded at Rs 51,460 in Pune and Rs 51,590 in Jaipur.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,140 in Vishakhapatnam,
Kerala, and Hyderabad. The same amount is worth Rs 47,190 in Mysore, Bengaluru,
and Mangalore. Ten grams of 24-carat gold in Kerala, Vishakhapatnam, and
Hyderabad is being procured at Rs 51,430. In Bengaluru, Mysore, and Mangalore,
the same amount of 24-carat gold is being retailed at Rs 51,480.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 48,010 and Rs 47,170 in
Coimbatore and Nashik, respectively. The same amount of 24-carat purity costs
Rs 52,380 in Coimbatore and Rs 51,460 in Nashik.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,190 and Rs 47,290 in
Surat and Chandigarh. The same amount of 24-carat purity may be purchased and
