The Sensex rose 1,181.34 or 1.95% to 61,840.97 while the Nifty was up by 321.50 or 1.78% to close at 18,349.70 at the end of Friday’s trading session.

The Sensex moved in a high and low band of 61,840.97 and 61,311.02. A total of 22 stocks advanced against 08 declining on the index.

The Nifty traded in the high-low range of 18,362.30 and 18,259.35. On the index, 37 stocks advanced against 12 that declined, while 1 was stable.

The broader indices ended higher with the BSE MidCap index gaining 0.15% and the SmallCap index up by 0.33%. The top gaining sectoral indices on the BSE were IT by 2.06%, TECK 1.36%, Metal 1.35%, Financial Services 1.35%, and Realty 0.94%, while Auto 0.34%, FMCG 0.10%, Power 0.08%, and Utilities 0.05% were only gaining sectoral indices on BSE.

The top gainers on the Sensex were HDFC up by 5.84%, HDFC Bank 5.62%, Infosys 4.51%, Tech Mahindra 3.64%, HCL Technologies 3.56%. While the losers on the index were  M&M down by 0.83%, SBI 0.76%, Kotak Mahindra Bank 0.73%, Dr Reddy’s Labs 0.50%, ICICI Bank 0.42%.

The top gainers on the Nifty were HDFC up by 5.72%, HDFC Bank 5.72%, Infosys 4.58%, Tech Mahindra 3.65%, and HCL Technologies 2.47%.  While the top losers were Eicher Motors down by 4.91%, Hero Motocorp 1.75%, SBI 0.95%, Britannia Industries 0.84%, and Mahindra & Mahindra 0.71%.

RPG Life Sciences Limited, Bohra Industries Limited, Cochin Shipyard Limited, Allcargo Logistics Limited, and SecUR Credentials Limited hit their 52-week high on Friday.

Renaissance Global Limited, Greenply Industries Limited, MMP Industries Limited, Intrasoft Technologies Limited, and Supriya Lifescience Limited touched their 52-week low on Friday.

HDFC Bank, Zomato, HDFC, Axis Bank, and ICICI Bank Limited were the most active equities on NSE.

The top volume gainers were Ganges Securities Limited, Gillanders Arbuthnot & Company Limited, Lumax Industries Limited, Ajmera Realty & Infra India Limited, and United Polyfab Gujarat Limited.

Lumax Industries Limited, Gillanders Arbuthnot & Company Limited, Bohra Industries Limited, Diligent Media Corporation Limited, and Future Supply Chain Solutions Limited hit their upper price band.

Electronics Mart India Limited, Magnum Ventures Limited, Khaitan (India) Limited, AXISCADES Technologies Limited, and Chemfab Alkalis Limited hit their lower price band. A total of 81 securities hit the upper price band, 55 securities hit the lower band and 20 securities hit both the upper and lower bands on November 11, 2022.
