The Sensex fell 170.89 or 0.28% to 61,624.15 while the Nifty was down by 20.55 or 0.11% to close at 18,329.15 at the end of Monday’s trading session.

The Sensex moved in a high and low band of 61,916.24 and 61,572.03. A total of 16 stocks advanced against 14 declining on the index.

The Nifty traded in the high-low range of 18,399.45 and 18,311.40. On the index, 26 stocks advanced against 24 that declined.

The broader indices ended mixed with the BSE MidCap index gaining 0.05% and the SmallCap index up by 0.25%. The top losing sectoral indices on the BSE were FMCG down by 1.29%, Power 0.69%, Capital Goods 0.66%, Utilities 0.49%, and Consumer Durables 0.40%. While Metal up 1.48%, Realty 1.05%, Commodities 1.00%, IT 0.77%, and Healthcare 0.56% were only gaining sectoral indices on BSE.

The top losers on the Sensex were Dr Reddy’s Labs down by 3.94%, ITC 2.57%, Hindustan Unilever 1.83%, State Bank of India 1.42%, and ICICI Bank 1.32%. While the gainers on the index were Kotak Mahindra Bank up by 1.26%, Tata Steel 1.07%, Power Grid 1.05%, IndusInd Bank 1.04%, and Infosys 0.89%.

The top gainers on the Nifty were Hindalco up by 5.76%, Apollo Hospital Enterprises 2.83%, Tata Motors 2.36%, Grasim Industries 2.19%, and Power Grid Corp 1.39%.  While the top losers were Dr. Reddy’s Lab down by 3.78%, Coal India 2.51%, ITC 2.50%, Hindustan Unilever 1.80%, and SBI 1.46%.

Rossell India Limited, GSS Infotech Limited, Kirloskar Brothers Limited, Fiem Industries Limited, and Jtekt India Limited hit their 52-week high on Monday.

Shakti Pumps (India) Limited, DiGiSPICE Technologies Limited, Radhika Jeweltech Limited, United Drilling Tools Limited, and Intrasoft Technologies Limited touched their 52-week low on Monday.

Info Edge (India) Ltd, Life Insurance Corporation of India, Hindalco Industries, Tata Motors Ltd, and Tata Steel Limited were the most active equities on NSE.

The top volume gainers were WS Industries (I) Limited, Prime Focus Limited, Fortis Healthcare Limited, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Limited, and Lambodhara Textiles Limited.

Tips Films Limited, Bohra Industries Limited, Future Supply Chain Solutions Limited, Repco Home Finance Limited, And Future Market Networks Limited hit their upper price band.

Radhika Jeweltech Limited, AMD Industries Limited, Art Nirman Limited, Integra Essentia Limited, And Kamat Hotels (I) Limited hit their lower price band. A total of 82 securities hit the upper price band, 79 securities hit the lower band and 24 securities hit both the upper and lower bands on November 14, 2022.
