InterGlobe Aviation, parent company of IndiGo Airlines has appointed Gaurav Negi as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) replacing Jiten Chopra, who has resigned from the post.
Before joining IndiGo, Negi worked at General Electric
Company for 22 years, where he was part of their Global Leadership programmes
in finance and executive management, the company said in an official statement
to BSE.

“In his last role with
GE, Mr. Negi was the CFO for on shore wind (segment of GE Renewable Energy
headquartered in Paris, France), APAC and Non-Executive Director, GE
Transmission & Distribution (GE T&D) India,” it added. He was a member of the Board and various committees of Audit , Risk Management, Stakeholder Relationship and CSR.
Negi is commerce graduate from Hindu College, Delhi
University and a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered
Accountants of India. In December 2021, Negi joined IndiGo as Senior Vice
President and Head of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC).

Negi has over two decades of diverse experience in the field
of finance, corporate governance and business operations. He started his career with GE Capital in Connecticut, USA and has held senior
management responsibilities across various industries and worked in several
countries. Negi is also a certified Six Sigma Blackbelt. Gaurav has also been the CFO for GE Healthcare and GE NBCU, both Joint Ventures , with Wipro and NDTV, respectively.

IndiGo is India’s biggest airlines with 53% share in the domestic passenger market. It recently launched 100 flights connecting key domestic metro cities and regional centres, starting from March 27, 2022. The airline has also introduced flights on 20 exclusive routes effective March 27, 2022, the day India resumed International flight operations.
