Schools and colleges
of many states have started the physical form of classes. And the schools of Kerala
is also set to start their offline classes from November 1, 2021. The Education
Minister of Kerala V Sivankutty confirmed on Sunday and said comprehensive plan
is being ready in consultation with various stakeholders for the reopening of schools.

“A
discussion with Health Minister was held regarding the matter and schools
authorities have been requested for the preparedness. The plan will be prepared
and submitted to the Chief Minister before October 15,” Education Minister
told the media.
Kerala’s Education
Minister said a system would be implemented in which offline classes of more than
7000 students willl run with shifting system to avoid the risk of Coronavirus.

The Minister
further explained, “The meetings will be held at the state and district
levels and a shift system would be implemented in schools with more than 7000
students.”
The Minister
further informed that health experts will discuss with district discussion and arrangements
will be made to allay the concerns of both parents and students.
While entering in the schools students must have to follow a strict covid-19 guidelines
which includes hand sanitizers, mask is to be worn properly and maintain a social distancing.

“The plan will include the provision of masks, sanitisers and social
distance adjustments when children arrive at school, as well as things to be
observed in vehicles used for transporting children,” he said.
The CMO informed through an official notice on September 18, 2021 that reopening of schools for the classes 1 to 7 and 10 to 12 will be begin from November 1 and for other classes it will begin after 15 days.

“Kerala to reopen schools from November 1. School-based classes for
standards 1 to 7 (primary section) and 10 and 12 will begin on November 1,
other classes will begin on November 15. The decision was taken at a COVID-19
review committee meeting”, CMO said.
However, colleges will be starting from October 18 and students who have taken single shot of vaccine only they can attend the offline classes.
