Answer: Scorpions

Three
people died and at least 503 others were stung by scorpions in severe storm and
flooding in southern Egyptian province of Aswan in November 2021.State media
had initially attributed the deaths to scorpions, saying they were forced onto
the streets and homes by rainwater.

However, all
those stung were later treated with anti-venom in hospital and survived, the Egyptian
health ministry confirmed. According to the New York Times, the three who died
were soldiers who were electrocuted when their camp was flooded.

Egypt is
native to fat-tailed scorpions, which are among the deadliest in the world. A
sting from a black fat-tailed scorpion can kill a human in under an hour.
