Ram Setu

It is an upcoming adventure film directed by Abhishek Sharma and the movie will feature Akshay Kumar playing the lead role of an archaeologist. 

The storyline of the adventure film follows the archaeologist as he investigates whether Ram Setu is a myth or a reality. The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha and will have a theatrical release on October 24, 2022.

OMG 2

OMG 2 is a sequel to the 2012 film OMG. The sequel is coming back after 10 years and will feature Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, and Arun Govil. Directed by Amit Rai, OMG 2 will also be a satirical drama film. The shooting of the film commenced last year in Mumbai and the first poster of the film featuring Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva was also launched in October 2021. The release date of the film has not yet been announced. 

Capsule Gill

Capsule Gill is an upcoming movie that is based on the real story of additional chief mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill. He helped rescue people when a coal mine in Raniganj, West Bengal, was flooded in 1989. The film is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and it features Akshay Kumar as the protagonist Jaswant Singh Gill. The project is being filmed in the United Kingdom and the first look of Akshay Kumar in a maroon turban and a thick beard has been revealed. 

Gorkha

This film is based on the real-life story of a legendary officer in the Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army. Akshay Kumar will portray the role of military personnel General Ian Cardozoon on the big screen. The film is being made under the banner of Color Yellow Productions and the film’s poster was launched on October 2021 but the release date is yet to be announced.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

This film is the remake of the 1998 classic comedy movie that featured Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda. Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff will feature as the leads in the upcoming remake and it is expected to release in January 2023. The project is being filmed in Scotland, the Austrian Alps, Saudi Arabia, and London.
