Morgan Wallen, the 29-year-old country music star famous for rising the musical ranks after starting in the American singing reality show The Voice, is yet to receive a Grammy nomination.

In spite of all the fame around Wallen, he is one of those names falling in the predicted list of nominations every year, but then fails to make it to the big stage. With the latest nominations set to be announced in a few hours, a look at whether Wallen can make it this time is always worth it.

Wallen released one of his best-selling albums, Dangerous: The Double Album, in January last year. However, he was completely snubbed from the 2021 nomination after his repeated use of the N-word in a leaked videotape made him a sensation.

The fact that the album was named the Album of the Year in the CMA Awards did not make any difference in the Grammys. In fact, Wallen was banned from performing at the Grammys 2021, let alone receiving a nomination for his album. However, things have changed now and the old controversy is somewhat behind him.

In fact, this year as well, the singer has been nominated for two key awards at the CMA awards in the entertainer of the year and male vocalist of the year category. If the singer does not receive the same treatment as last year from the Grammy authorities, then it is likely that his song Wasted on You could earn him Grammy nominations in several key categories.

It could be the record and song of the year, the best country and solo performance, and even the best country songs. However, it is unlikely that he will be in the fray for a Big Four nomination, given the fact that he has attracted so much controversy over the last few years.
