The Recording Academy will reveal the 65th Grammy Award nominees on November 15. Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and British artists Harry Styles and Adele are just a few of the big names up for the nominations.

Taylor Swift submitted her name in 13 different categories for the Grammys in 2023. She has received 42 Grammy nominations over the course of her career, and she has gone on to win 10 of them, including three Album of the Year prizes. So, will Taylor Swift be painting the Grammys red soon?

Since the release of Red (Taylor’s Version) on November 12, 2021, Swift’s rerecorded album and its new singles have garnered praise from critics, leaving many fans to wonder if the album will qualify for a Grammy. The first Red album, which was released in 2012, is regarded as one of her best.

Nonetheless, despite being nominated for album of the year and best country album at the 2014 Grammys, it did not receive any awards at the time of its release.
Will Swift’s Red receive ‘Album of the year’ nomination?
Swift’s sixth nomination in ‘Album of the year’ category would tie her with Barbra Streisand for the most by a female artist. Swift has been nominated for these awards since 2009. Streisand received her nominations over a 24-year span (1963-86).

Swift was nominated in this category for the original studio edition of Red nine years ago. This would be the first time an artist has received nominations for both the original recording and a re-recording of an album.

Additionally, Red (Taylor’s Version) comprises 14 tracks that were not included in Red’s standard release. It is unclear how the album as a whole will be impacted by the new eligibility rule for Grammy albums, which was announced in May 2021.

An album must have more than 75% of its playing time made up of tracks that were just recently recorded and never before released, according to the new regulation. For the Grammy Awards in 2023, this will come into play.
