Wild Things actor Denise Richards and her husband Aaron Phypers were shot at on Monday outside a studio near the intersection of Slauson and Western Avenues in Los Angeles. They managed to narrowly escape death when a man open fired at their truck after an altercation regarding parking space, TMZ says.

Richards and Phypers reportedly stopped to check on a parking space for their truck which irritated a man behind them, and he started shouting. The man then brought his car in front of the truck, which Aaron allowed, but the man still fired at the duo’s car. Reports say that the bullets hit the back of the truck’s driver’s seat.

Neither Richards nor Phypers was injured in the incident. The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the incident.

Richards started her modelling career as a teen and first appeared in print advertisements for Bonne Bell cosmetics in 1991. She also starred in the instructional film “Modeling: What It Takes” for Teen magazine and later in an advertisement for Max Factor’s Premiere 2K.

Richards made several film and television appearances in the 1990s, including Loaded Weapon 1 (1993), Tammy and the T-Rex (1994), and Lookin’ Italian (1994). In 1997, Richards appeared as the lead in Starship Troopers, which received a broad theatrical distribution and earned her a nomination for the Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favorite Female Newcomer. She then had a part in the sensual suspense movie Wild Things (1998).

2018 saw the marriage of Ms. Richards and Mr. Phypers, who started dating in December 2018. She Thad two daughters, Sam and Lola Rose, with Charlie Sheen during their four-year marriage from 2002 to 2006.
