Sanchari Vijay, a national award-winning actor, has been seriously injured in a traffic accident in Bengaluru. The actor, who is presently getting treatment in an Intensive Care Unit at a private hospital, is yet to regain consciousness.

According to reports, the accident occurred as the actor was riding his bike back to his house after visiting a friend’s house on Saturday night. He was brought to the hospital right away. The actor suffered damage to the right side of his head as well as his thigh.
Arun Nayak, a neurosurgeon, told a news channel, “The health condition of Sanchari Vijay is very critical. As he had blood clot in the brain, we have performed a surgery, the next 48 hours is going to be critical (sic).”
Sanchari Vijay rose to prominence with his outstanding performance in the 2015 film ‘Naanu Avanalla Avalu’, which earned him a national award.

During the lockdown, he joined the Usire team, which helped deliver oxygen to COVID patients, and he also helped the disadvantaged by disseminating information about COVID services via his social media profiles.
