In what is
believed to be his first public appearance since the Oscars controversy,
Hollywood actor Will Smith has arrived in India and was seen at Mumbai airport.

The actor
was clad in a white oversized t-shirt and white pants, over which he wore a
knee-length black shorts. The Oscar winner was seen waving to reporters
and taking selfies with ecstatic fans who had come to welcome him.

This isn’t
Will Smith’s first journey to India, for those who don’t know. In 2019, the
‘King Richard’ actor visited India to film his reality show ‘The Bucket List.’
Smith met a few Bollywood celebs and shot a feature with the ‘Student of the
Year 2’ squad during his visit. As part of his Facebook Watch series, he also
made a special trip to Haridwar. His son Jaden Smith has also made a trip to India before.

Smith had
been staying low and out of the public eye since the Chris Rock debacle.

He has been
banned from attending the Oscars for the next ten years. The Academy
took action against the Black actor after he slapped and swore at Oscar
presenter Chris Rock for a joke about Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

Will Smith
is also barred from attending any other Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences
events
for the next ten years. Fortunately for him, Smith’s best actor
prize for ‘King Richard’ was not rescinded by the Board.

The purpose
for Smith’s travel to India is unknown, but it has certainly caused a sensation,
as the star’s visit came as a complete surprise given the recent controversies surrounding him.
