Jurassic World Dominion‘ brings an end to the saga which began with Steven Spielberg’s iconic 1993 movie, ‘Jurassic Park‘. During that time, the franchise has shown us a world of adventure and dangers, with several prehistoric dinosaurs. The last instalment promises to continue the tradition and has some new species, while some of the iconic ones are returning as well.

Dreadnoughtus

These dinosaurs are massive and similar to the Brachiosaurus. In real life, the bones of these sauropods were only discovered in 2005. Dreadnoughtus are herbivores.

Quetzalcoatlus

If you thought the flying Pteranodons, introduced for the first time in ‘Jurassic Park III’, were terrifying, then the Quetzalcoatlus is something to behold. The winged dinosaur is bigger and scarier, with the Pteranodons treating it as an alpha.

Oviraptor

The ‘Jurassic Park’ franchise has aimed for more scientific accuracy when it comes to dinosaurs, in depicting one with feathers. The Oviraptor is like the Velociraptor but happens to be smaller in size. It is known for feeding on the eggs of other dinosaurs.

Nasutoceratops

This species is like the Triceratops and the Sinoteratops, but the huge dinosaur has some differences. Here, the horns are shorter and emerge from below the bony armoured plate in the Nasutoceratops’ head.

Moros Intrepidus

These dinosaurs are like smaller T-Rexes. They were only discovered a couple of years back, making this one of the fastest instances of including a real-life dinosaur in the popular franchise.

Iguanodon

This dinosaur is a huge herbivore and fossils have been mainly found in areas across Europe, North Africa, North America, Australia, and Asia.

Gigantosaurus

As the name suggests, this dinosaur stands out because of its size. The new movie introduces it as an apex predator, and the dinosaur is a potential T-Rex killer.

‘Jurassic World Dominion’ sees humanity struggle to exist alongside dinosaurs, but the addition of some potentially deadly creatures make this a tough task.
