Jennifer Lopez openly admitted that she and Ben Affleck were
concerned about rekindling their relationship because of how the public might
react. The pair separated in 2004 before reuniting last year.

Jennifer and Ben got married in 2002 but divorced in 2004. They
were seen together in the films Jersey Girl and Gigli. Jennifer has now spoken
out about her worries about reuniting with Ben during a recent interview.

Jennifer said in an interview with People Magazine, “Before,
we kind of put [our relationship] out there. We were naive, and it was crushed
a little. ‘Wow, we’re so thrilled, and we don’t want any of that to happen
again,’ we both said. Now that we’re older, smarter, and have more experience,
we’re at different stages of our lives, and we have children, we have to be
extremely aware of those things. We’re quite guarded because this is such a
special time for all of us.”

“It’s amazing the way it feels,” she continued,
“very different than it was years ago.” There’s more of an
appreciation and a celebration for it, which is nice. ‘Oh wow, we’re
not used to this, and it’s really beautiful. But we’re at a different point in
our lives, who we were then and what we’ve done since then.” She
continued. “I think people know that we’re artists who are going
to be around for a long time, and that’s nice, and they appreciate
that and respect that,” Jennifer concluded.

Jennifer’s engagement to former MLB player Alex Rodriguez ended in
April 2021, and Ben’s relationship with actress Ana de Armas ended in January
of this year. Jennifer has 13-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc
Anthony, while Ben has three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Violet,
12-year-old Seraphina, and 9-year-old Samuel.
