Armaan Malik, an Indian singer-songwriter who is well-known for his numerous hits including Sab Tera, You and Pehla Pyaar, won his second MTV Europe Music Award (EMA) on Sunday. He received the award for Best India Act for his most recent English single, You.

He won this award for the second time after his debut single, Control, won him the first MTV EMA in the same category in 2020.
Following the honour, the 27-year-old singer shared that he is “humbled and overjoyed” for the accolade. He said, “You is a very special record for me and for it to receive a nod at such a prestigious global platform is extremely heartwarming. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the fans and well-wishers who voted for me.”
He further added, “The amount of love and support I have received from Armaanians all over the world is truly unprecedented and fills me with gratitude. This one’s for them, my family and my country.”
Armaan Malik wore a white suit at the event that was designed by renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra and the suit also had sequin details on the blazer.
Armaan Malik was presented with the honour at the awards ceremony in Düsseldorf, Germany. MTV EMAs was held on 13 November at the PSD Bank Dome in Germany for the sixth time. Rita Ora and Taika Waititi hosted the event and it was broadcasted live on MTV.

Armaan Malik was also in the news earlier this year because he collaborated with American musician Ed Sheeran for the album 2 Step. The song was released on all major platforms in June 2022.
He will also be seen in a Next 2 You India Tour which will encompass all the major cities like Bangalore, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad from 19th November to 3rd December 2022.
