Actor and Bigg Boss 13 runner up Asim Riaz condoled the demise of Sidharth Shukla. On Thursday, Shukla died of a heart attack at Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital. He was 40.

On his Instagram handle, Riaz posted pictures of him and Sidharth from the reality show Bigg Boss. “I m gonna meet you in heaven brother,” he wrote in the caption. 

Shukla started out as a model and made his acting debut with the 2008 TV show Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na. His big break was the show Balika Vadhu, in which he featured with late actress Pratyusha Banerjee.

Shukla also won Khatron Ke Khiladi 7 and competed on the dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6. He hosted the shows Savdhaan India and India’s Got Talent.

Sidharth Shukla did supporting roles in films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Business In Kazakhstan. His last lead role was in the web-series Broken But Beautiful 3.

Shukla’s chemistry with a friend and rumoured partner Shehnaaz Gil, who is a Punjabi actor and singer, was loved by the audience and earned them the name ‘SidNaaz’ during ‘Bigg Boss’ stint.

After Bigg Boss, Sidharth and Shenaaz were spotted together on various occasions including the latter’s birthday that she celebrated with Shukla and her family.

As soon as the news of his death broke, condolence messages began pouring in.

Reality start Varun Sood tweeted, “Still can’t believe it! RIP sidharth_shukla . Gone too soon.”

Actor Tisca Chopra wrote, “Numb.. Siddharth, neighbour and occasional walking buddy .. #SiddharthShukla RIP .. hope aunty and friends have the strength to bear your immense loss”.

Singer Armaan Malik was also in disbelief and wrote, “I cannot process this news that I just came across. Is this true? Please no. No… #SiddharthShukla”
