During the hearing of actor Rhea Chakraborty’s plea at the Supreme Court, late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh said that his attempts to talk to his son were thwarted by Rhea and her family.

“During Sushant Singh Rajput’s lifetime, the father’s attempt to talk to him on telephone from Patna was thwarted by accused persons. It could have saved his son’s life,” Singh said in his reply submitted to the top court, reported news agency ANI.

The Supreme Court is hearing a plea submitted by Rhea Chakraborty, who, along with six others, has been accused of abetting to Sushant’s suicide in an FIR filed by his father with the Bihar Police. In her plea, Rhea sought to seek transfer of the probe by Bihar Police from Patna to Mumbai.

The court is hearing the case for the third time on Thursday. The first hearing was held on August 5, where the SC ordered all the parties to send their replies within three days. On the day of its second hearing, the court reserved the verdict for August 13.

Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14. Since then, a lot of protests were demonstrated online and a CBI probe was demanded in the case. The Centre has already approved of the probe.
