Reformed keeping in mind the ongoing pandemic situation, the BAFTA TV Awards were back on Sunday and British acclaimed drama “I May Destroy You” turned out to be the big victor in this year’s edition.
Michaela Coel landed the leading actress award for the show, piping fiercely competitive performances from Letitia Wright (for Small Axe), Daisy Edgar-Jones (for Normal People) and Jodie Comer (for Killing Eve).
Meanwhile, “I May Destroy You” also bagged the claim to the best mini-series title, bettering Small Axe.
The two wins now give Coel a total of four BAFTA awards for her widely-adored BBC/HBO show — having claimed writer: drama and director: fiction at the BAFTA TV Craft Awards ceremony on May 24.
