Bill Nighy arrived at the Oscars 2023 red carpet wearing a murdered Sylvanian bunny on his suit. The 73-year-old actor also wore a blue ribbon to “commemorate” the millions of displaced people around the world.

The 95th annual Academy Awards, popularly known as Oscars kicked off at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California on Sunday. This event ceremony, honouring the year’s best performances on film is to be anchored by comedian Jimmy Kimmel, his third time assuming the role. 

Nominations for the awards are buzzy movies such as Elvis, Tár, Everything Everywhere All at Once, and The Fabelmans, all of which are up for Best Picture. Cate Blanchett, Ana de Armas, Andrea Riseborough, Michelle Williams, and Michelle Yeoh are expecting Best Actress. Austin Butler, Colin Farrell, Brendan Fraser, Paul Mescal, and Bill Nighy are up for the Best Actor category.

The English actor, Bill Nighy is best known for his roles in movies such as Love Actually, Underworld, Harry Potter, and Bill & Ted Face the Music. He received multiple awards for his acting including Golden Globe and BAFTA Award nominations.

Nighy started his career on stage in 1979 with the Royal National Theatre’s production of Romeo and Juliet. The 73-year-old appeared in more than one hundred films, television series and stage productions.
