Korean boy band BTS and its huge army of fans have done it. The group released its first English single ‘Dynamite’ on Friday and broke several YouTube records.

Within 24 hours after it went live on YouTube, the video garnered 98.3 million views, Variety reported. That left it slightly short of hitting the 100 million mark, a feat that many among BTS’ devout fanbase, who call themselves ‘ARMY’, might have hoped to achieve.

It easily broke the previous record, held by another K-Pop band, Blackpink, which got 86.3 million views in a day for their track ‘How You Like That’.

At the time of writing this article, ‘Dynamite’ is trending on YouTube and has already been watched over 112 million times.

‘Dynamite’ is BTS’ first song that is entirely in English. It broke another record of the most-watched YouTube Premiere with over 3 million live concurrent viewers.

The group has previously held the 24-hour views record. Last year, its ‘Boy With Luv’ featuring Halsey had garnered 74.6 million views in a day. Its song ‘On’ released early this year was watched 43.8 million times in a day and had 1.54 million concurrent watchers.
