Superhero movie giant DC has unveiled the first look trailer of their upcoming flick ‘Suicide Squad’, which is being directed by James Gunn, who has been known for directing Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. 

The sequel to the 2016 film, which did well at the Box Office, features actors like Sylvester Stallone, Pete Davidson, Storm Reid, Idris Elba, Nathan Fillion and others, while retaining just a few members from the original star cast. Key members like Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman and Margot Robbie, who plays the infamous yet fan-favourite character of Harley Quinn. 

The film uses the catchphrase “They are dying to save the world.”

Unlike the trailer of the prequel, the upcoming Suicide Squad trailer has leaned towards the action-comedy genre, a trend that has been doing well for other superhero movies. However, the social media reaction of the fans hints that John Cena’s character, ‘Peacemaker’ will be taking the centre stage alongside Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn.

The official trailer of Suicide Squad, which is set to be released on August 6 on HBO Max, in addition to cinemas, has garnered over 250,000 views on YouTube in just a few hours after its release. 

According to the social media reactions, fans are expecting the DC superhero universe to turn over a new leaf in their movies with the inclusion of James Gunn as the director, who is working with production for the first time.
