Deepesh Bhan, the actor most famous for his role as Makhan Singh in the popular television series ‘Bhabiji Ghar Pe Hai‘, died aged 41. The news came as a huge shock for the Hindi television industry. Bhan was said to be friendly with his co-stars and a nuanced actor and many said his absence from the screen will be felt. 

The circumstances of Bhan’s death, however, remain unclear. While the exact medical cause of his death is yet to be uncovered, Hindi news media reports indicate Bhan was playing cricket when he suddenly collapsed. The actor was taken to the hospital where doctors declared him dead. 

As news of his death surfaced, makers of ‘Bhabiji Ghar Pe Hai’ issued a statement saying: “Deeply saddened & shocked by the sudden demise of our beloved Deepesh Bhan. One of the most dedicated actors in “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai’ and like our family.”

“He will be deeply missed by all. Our heartfelt condolences to his family. May his soul Rest In Eternal Peace. God give his family the strength to cope with this great loss. Sanjay & Binaiferr Kohli. And the Entire Team of “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai”.  

Charrul Mallik, a co-actor of Bhan in ‘Bhabiji Ghar Pe Hai’, said, “I can’t believe it still. I got to know about it in the morning. I just met him yesterday and hea was all fine. We made a few reel videos together. I know him since eight years and he was closest to me on the sets. We used to eat our food together.” 

Vaibhav Mathur, assistant director of ‘Bhabiji Ghar Pe Hai’ and the actor who plays the role of Tika Singh told Dainik Bhaskar, “Yes, he is no more. I do not want to say anything on this, because there is nothing left to say.”
