Bollywood actor Dharmendra turns 86 today. Dharmendra is known for his
dialogue delivery in a rough tone and for his action scenes. Known as the
He-Man of Bollywood, he made a mark in Bollywood without any connections.
Dharmendra worked in all genres of movies — action, comedy, romance, and tragedy and the audience has always received him with open arms.

memorable dialogues:
Yadoon Ki Baaraat (1973)
‘Kutte kamine.. main tera khoon pee jaoonga’.
This dialogue from ‘Yaadoon Ki Baraat’ is one of
the most popular one-liners of all time in Bollywood.
Sholay (1975)
‘Basanti… in kutton ke saamne mat nachna’
Whenever this epic line come up we remember none other than the He-Man
of Bollywood.

Ghulami
‘Kabhi zameen se baat ki hai Thakur, ye zameen
humari maa hai’
With this dialogue, Dharmendra made his Jat Sikh avatar come alive
emphasising the importance of farmers.
Jeene Nahi Doonga (1984)
‘Ye to so raha tha aman ke badlon ko apna takiya
banakar issey jagaya bhi tumney hai aur uthaya bhi tumne’
Dharmendra played the double role of Roshan and Raka. His muscular body
and piercing voice are enough to send chills down the spines of the audience.

Sholay (1974)
‘When I dead, police coming … police coming,
budiya going jail … in jail budiya chakki peesing, and peesing, and peesing,
and peesing, and peesing’.
Dharmendra had a spontaneous sense of humour in his dialogue delivery.

Anupama (1966)
“Uma Ji shayad aapne khud ko kabhi hastey huey nahi
dekha, Kabhi chupke se aaine ke saamne jaakar dekhiye aur dekhiye ye hassi
kitni khoobsurat hai”
This dialogue resonated well with the audience and gained him a lot of
female fan following. Dharmendra played the role of a poor and highly
principled school teacher, Ashok, who fell in love with Uma (Sharmila Tagore).

Chupke Chupke (1975)

This hilarious question from Pyare Mohan can make
anyone burst into laughter. Dharmendra’s chemistry with Sharmila Tagore was
enough to make us laugh throughout the movie.
