Fans of the legendary singer Elton John went flew into a frenzy on Sunday after witnessing their favourite idol donning his iconic Dodgers outfit while performing on stage during his Farewell concert at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

Dodgers outfit has returned. #EltonFarewellTour#EltonJohn#EltonLATakeover,” one person wrote, while another said, “Seeing @eltonofficial in Arlington,TX was one thing, but seeing him on @DisneyPlus is game changer. Elton is so amazing, Thankful I got to see him live, and streaming, especially since he is wearing the Dodger outfit!!!” One more noted, “ELTON JOHN IS IN HIS DODGERS OUTFIT!

#EltonFarewellTour#EltonLive.” And yet another stated, “i’m about to see elton’s original dodger stadium outfit holy shit.”

  The 75-year-old marked the closing of his Goodbye Yellow Brick Road tour Sunday, which was his final American concert tour.    

This was the Rocket Man singer’s third night at Dodger Stadium was nostalgic especially since the venue served as the famous setting for his 1975 breakout stadium concerts. No music lover can forget John’s electrifying concerts 47 years ago at the historic baseball stadium, which cemented his status as an all-time great music legend.

On Sunday, John wore a different version of his original Dodgers outfit that he had worn in his old concerts. 

The outfit was also recreated for the biographical musical drama film based on John’s life, Rocketman, starring Taron Egerton as John.

Rocketman’s costume designer Julian Day admitted at that time that he was nervous to show the legendary singer John, his make-believe wardrobe. “[Elton] means a lot to a lot of people. He’s a huge hero of mine so I felt a bit stunned in a way,” Day said while speaking to GRAZIA. “I never thought I’d get the opportunity to design costumes for him in a film so it was amazing. He was very charming and grateful and took the time to look at all the designs. I thought he was great. He loved it all.”
