Rickey Minor, the
American music director, composer, and music producer has received his second
Primetime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Music Direction category for his
‘outstanding’ work on the 2019 Kennedy Center Honors gala at
the second night of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. 

Not only this, but he also received a nomination for his music direction of the 92nd Academy
Awards ceremony. 

He previously won
the Emmy award in this category in 2017, for Taking The Stage: African
American Music And Stories That Changed America
 and has amassed 11
Emmy nominations for his work in the field of music direction.

Minor, who is also
a bass player has served as a music director for several superstar tours
including Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, Ray Charles, Alicia Keys, and
Beyonce.

He has also worked
for television productions including the Grammy Awards, the NAACP Image Awards,
and the Super Bowl.
