Singer Rahul Vaidya recently landed in a soup after the lyrics of his new song ‘Garbe ki Raat’ did not go well with the audience. The lyrics of the song mention a Hindu deity ‘Shri Mogal Maa’, which several people on social media claims hurt their religious sentiments. The singer has been receiving threat calls ever since the release of the song, his spokesperson revealed.

The recently released song, which along with Rahul, features popular TV actor Nia Sharma, has upset fans, especially the Gujarati audience who claimed that they have represented the Goddess in a bad light.

Rahul’s spokesperson, in a statement, has confirmed about the singer receiving threatening calls and messages and also mentioned that they are going to get the song rectified from their end.

Apart from the lyrics, devotees have also claimed to be deeply hurt by the objectionable video representation of Nia on the religious folk wordings addressing the goddesses.

However, some social media users and Rahul Vaidya plans have come out in the singer’s support and defended their favourite star.

Meanwhile, the singer’s team has assured that the song lyrics will be rectified. Rahul’s Garbe ki Raat was released on the second day of Navratri and the song currently holds more than 4.9 million views on Youtube.
