Considered as one of the best young actors in Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor made his debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2007 film, ‘Saawariya’. Since then, he has been part of numerous films which has established him as a seasoned next-gen actor in the Hindi film industry. Films like ‘Barfi’, ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ proved that he is a talented actor while some of his most awaited projects turned out to be box –office duds.

Let’s take a look at five bad films in Ranbir’s resume.

Besharam (2013)

Ranbir shared the screen with his parents Late Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh in this Abhinav Kashyap comedy which failed miserably to impress the audience. Ranbir played the role of a ‘tapori’ car thief who steals the car of the girl he likes. The only thing that saved the film from completely sinking is the performance from his parents.

Jagga Jasoos (2017)

The Anurag Basu film took years to make and yet tanked at the box-office. A comedy-musical, the film revolved around the protagonist (Ranbir) searching for his missing father (Saswata Chatterjee). He shared the screen opposite his then girlfriend, Katrina Kaif.

Bombay Velvet (2015)

A crime-thriller, the film made on a whopping budget of over 120 crores was a box-office disaster. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the film had a stellar cast of Karan Johar, Anushka Sharma and Kay Kay Menon.

Anjana Anjaani (2010)

Ranbir starred opposite Priyanka Chopra in this Siddharth Anand Film. A flat script and a predictable plot meant the film disastrous in spite of good cinematography and good music from Vishal-Shekhar.

Saawariya (2007)

Ranbir’s debut film cannot be ignored when talking about bad film choices he has made. Although he won a Filmfare award for the Best Male Debut, the film was declared a flop.
