Former United States President George W. Bush‘s daughter Barbara Bush gave birth to her first child on Monday, September 27 with her husband Craig Coyne, according to media reports citing announcements from the former first family.

Cora Georgia Coyne was born Monday in Maine, not far from the family’s Walker Point compound in Kennebunkport, former President George W. Bush said in a statement Tuesday.

“With full hearts, Laura and I are delighted to announce the birth of our new granddaughter”, the Bush family said in a statement.

It added, “Cora is healthy and adorable, and we are proud and grateful.

“The little girl joins Barbara’s sister Jenna Bush Hager’s three children — son Hal and daughters Mila and Poppy — and multiple cousins”, according to reports from PEOPLE.

Barbara is a co-founder of the nonprofit Global Health Corps. She previously announced her plans of moving away from Texas and settling in New York, along with her husband, who is an actor and screenwriter.

The 39-year-old married Craig Coyne at the Maine compound in October 2018, according to reports from Associated Press.

In an interview with People last week, Barbara said, “The downtime of just being together has been really beautiful and I know something that I’ll always remember and likely will never have again.”

She added, “That’s been a real bonus of what has been an unusual and complicated year.”

According to the Presidential Center website of George W. Bush, Barbara Bush “worked in educational programming at the Smithsonian Institution’s Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, where she supported design-thinking programs for high school students and faculty across the US. She has worked with Red Cross Children’s Hospital in South Africa and UNICEF in Botswana.”
