Pinhead, the iconic horror villain from the Hellraiser series, is coming to Dead by Daylight, the game owners have announced. Pinhead is expected to be released for the game in September. Pinhead will come to Dead by Daylight using a “Lament Configuration”. “What comes next is sweet suffering that will spill over the realm,” reads a line from the Pinhead description.
Talking about the character, Dave Richard, the creative director of Dead by Daylight, said, “Not only is he highly charismatic, but he also embraces deeply disturbing horror scenes, so our fans have been requesting him for a long time.”
“Bringing Pinhead into the Fog is a way for us to give fans something they want, while cementing our reputation as the Hall of Fame of horror,” Richard said.
The Hellraiser chapter for Day by Daylight will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series XIS, PC, Stadia, Nintendo Switch and everywhere one can play the game. The mobile edition of the game though may come after September.
PC players will be able to test the Hellraiser Chapter through the Dead by Daylight test build on Steam from August 17 at 11 am ET.
The game owners have said that players may encounter bugs and other issues in the early version of the game.
Dead by Daylight, owned by Behaviour Interactive, has been partnering with a number of major brands specialising in horror. The game has hosted several crossover events. Previously, the studio partnered with Capcom for a Resident Evil crossover and Valve for Left 4 Dead as well as Konami for Silent Hill.
Dead by Daylight’s Stranger Things DLC will expire in November. The game has seen a growth surge reaching 207,000 concurrent users across all platforms in June setting a new player record.
