Actor Sonu Sood, on Friday, said filmmakers recently started approaching him for the lead roles
in their movies. It all happened because of the work and help he provided to
the migrant labourers during the coronavirus crisis this year, reported PTI. Earlier this
year, when a nationwide lockdown in India, Sood came helped the
migrant labourer’s by sending them back to their homes and later providing
them with jobs.

The Bollywood actor is known for his antagonist roles in the
movies like “Dabang”, “R…Rajkumar” and “Simmba’.

During the virtual session, Sood opened up about how 2020 has changed his personal and professional
life, especially his image of an actor, who has previously played villain in several
films. “I am getting all hero roles now. I have got four-five
brilliant scripts. Let’s hope… It’s new beginnings, new innings, it is a new
pitch and it will be nice fun,” the actor said, reported PTI.

The actor also mentioned
one incident from the shoot of his upcoming Telugu movie “Acharya” where he
said Superstar Chiranjeevi was hesitated to hit him in a scene. Chiranjeevi told
to me, ‘You being in the film is a big problem for us because I can’t hit you in
the action scene’. He said if he does that people will curse him. This one
incident made me realise I have found a new image of a hero, added Sood,
reported PTI.

The 47-year-old actor also
revealed that the makers of another Telugu film have changed the script
according to his new image, meaning that he will have to shoot his portions
again.

The actor has helped many
stranded migrant labourers to reach back their home. He continued doing that
later also by launching a toll-free WhatsApp number to connect with more of these
labourers. Recently he also launched another initiative of providing E-rickshaws
to the jobless people.

The actor also said, it
was the blessing of so many people that kept him motivated to keep helping
them.

In another session of “The
Men we Love”, the Dabang actor was joined with the Michelin star chef Vikas
Khanna, who has also been working to feed several needy people during the
pandemic. The chef distributed food under his food drive “Feed India”, while
staying in New York.
