Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is known for his versatility when it comes to his choice in the movies he does. No matter what the genre is – drama, comedy, romance, patriotic films or socially relevant issues, Akshay has proved himself to be a jack of all trades with his acting skills throughout his career.

Despite facing ups and downs, Akshay has managed to become one of the most bankable stars in the film industry. He finished his movies in about 45 days, which helps him in working on multiple projects in a year.

In 2019, Akshay, in a group interview, said, “If I say I feel comfortable in one genre, you will put a tag on me. I don’t want any kind of tag. I’ve come out of that game of tags when I used to do only action, I was bored. I never wanted the tag of an action hero. Even now I don’t want any tags. I’m very comfortable playing all kinds.”

He also revealed, “There was a time in my career when I used to feel ashamed of myself because I was doing similar kinds of films which involved action. So once I got the opportunity to dabble into various genres, I started enjoying my work. Since the last 12 years, I have got a chance to keep on changing my image as an actor. So, I feel it is not a tough thing for me.”

Action

Akshay Kumar was the quintessential action hero after he performed several mind-blowing stunts and earned the title ‘Khiladi’. There are eight action movies in the series, the last one being ‘Khiladi 786’ in 2012. However, the actor soon realised that he would want to explore the other genres.

Drama (Social)

Akshay Kumar is incomparably brilliant in this genre. From flicks based on social issues, like ‘Pad Man’ and ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, to inspirational biopics like ‘Gold’ and ‘Kesari’, he has outdone himself every time. We can’t miss talking about ‘Mission Mangal’ that is based on real events and Akshay played the role of a scientist.  Good News is another such film where ‘why not adopt’ question is met with conservative ‘apna khoon’ answers.

Comedy

Comedy is synonymous with Akshay Kumar. He started making his audience burst in laughter with his impeccable comic timing in ‘Hera Pheri’ and there was no looking back after that. Some of the other movies include ‘Garam Masala’, ‘Welcome’, ‘Singh Is Kinng’, ‘Housefull 4’, among others.

Akshay Kumar will soon be seen in ‘Prithviraj’, ‘Sooryavashi’, ‘Laxmmi Bomb’. Let’s see what these movies have in store for the audience.  Akshay kumar, akshay kumar movies, akshay kumar comedy, akshay kumar action, actor of all genre, opoyi news, entertainment news, bollywood news.
