Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate were arrested in Romania on Thursday, December 29. The 36-year-old former kickboxer turned internet celebrity was last seen in a video he posted on his Twitter handle in response to Greta Thunberg.

In the video, Tate is seen smoking a cigar in a bathrobe while someone gets a box of pizza for him.

It is being said that the pizza boxes played a crucial role in his arrest from his home in Romania. 

Reports say that the police were not aware that Tate and his brother are in Romania. However, when they saw the video, and the Jerry’s Pizza box – a pizza chain in Romania, they were sure that the 36-year-old is in the country.

They raided his home and eventually arrested him and Tristan over human trafficking charges. 

Andrew Tate and Great Thunberg have been involved in a heated exchange on social media. Tate sparked the exchange in a video he posted taunting the young climate activist. 

“Hello @GretaThunberg I have 33 cars. My Bugatti has a w16 8.0L quad-turbo. My TWO Ferrari 812 competizione have 6.5L v12s. This is just the start. Please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and their respective enormous emissions,” he wrote on tagging Thunberg.

Great responded to it with the following tweet:  “yes, please do enlighten me. email me at [email protected].”

It was in response to this Thunberg’s tweet that Tate posted the fateful video with pizza boxes that eventually led to his arrest. 

“Thank you for confirming via your email address that you have a small penis @GretaThunberg The world was curious. And I do agree you should get a life,” he said in the tweet.
