Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix’s late friend Ali Rafiq was found unconscious in his parents’ house before he was eventually pronounced dead on Friday afternoon.

Rabia Rafiq, Ali’s sister, said that her brother seemed to have fallen and hit his head on a table. She told TMZ that her mother found Ali on the floor of their St. Louis home Friday. Ali was found dead around 4 pm, three hours after he collapsed. Four hours before he collapsed, he had called his father from the house.

Ali’s sister says her brother had no known illnesses, other than asthma … and the family didn’t believe that was ever a serious issue for him. We’re told there were no signs of foul play, and no indicators as to why he collapsed. His death certificate says “organ failure” but his official cause of death will be determined only after his toxicology reports are released.

Shortly after his body was released to his family, they buried Ali on Saturday, in keeping with Muslim traditions. As a result, Sandoval did not reach St. Louis in time to attend his burial. However, Tom has been spending time with Ali’s parents after getting there on Sunday. He has also visited the gravesite to say goodbye to his friend.

Tom’s parents did attend Saturday’s funeral and face timed him so that he could feel like he was part of the event. Madix sent flowers.
